Silly arm

Got my flu shot. As predicted, my arm's all achy now. It's such a weird ache, too - I'm used to exercise-induced stretchy-hurt and stupidity-induced ow-I-damaged-myself-hurt, but flu-shot hurt is this strange floaty discomfort. I can't quite pin down where the pain is, but it's definitely annoying.

C'mon, little antibodies. Build up and protect me from all of the snot-nosed kids and international travelers roaming the halls with their legions of germs.

Yes, I can't think of a situation where you'd experience the "too much fluid in my tissues" hurt other than after a shot.

Could be worse. My boss ended up having a bad enough reaction that he had to go home and lie down. Totally wiped him out.

flu shot is for viruses so you want a T cell mediated response, not an antibody one :)
