Surely it's later than 3:30

For some reason, I have this impression of darkness, even though you can't see outside down here. I seem to be convinced it's the end of the day, on a late fall evening, and I should be home right now making soup. I suspect the fact that our bedroom was cold this morning, and the conference room is cold today, and I had chili for lunch, and I'm tired and a lot of bad things have happened today (not to me personally, but to the team in general) is all reinforcing this desperate desire to huddle and nest against the coming cold and dark of winter. Which my body seems to be convinced is coming RIGHT NOW.

Like a pigeon... :)

I feel like it's gotten cold pretty quickly. One day it was shorts weather, the next it was sweater-and-coat time.

This has been my mindset for the past week. Fortunately the weather held out for the bulk of my marathon training. We had the big 20 miler and then winter promptly showed up, right when we started reducing miles again. It's felt like a very dramatic shift.

And the weather is acting like winter, not fall. No sunny & windy, just cool and grey.
