Princess Leia

I saw Carrie Fisher in her one-woman show Wishful Drinking last night. She was utterly delightful in that "my life has totally sucked, but I've mined it for painful humor for your enjoyment" kind of way. She's a very smart writer, and a good performer. (Also bipolar and a recovering addict.) She had one bit on Hollywood incest in which she tries to tell her daughter whether or not she's related to her daughter's new boyfriend (who's Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor's grandson, when Carrie Fisher's father left her mother for Taylor and everyone one of them was married multiple times in a horribly convoluted flow chart). It's hilarious. (The answer, by the way, is that they're related by scandal.)

Worth seeing.

She actually did a little riff on this in the show.

She's definitely overweight, and aging - but given some of the things she's been through and her age, she looks just fine.
