Can it be Christmas yet?

Because of various commitments coming up, I'm all ready for Christmas right now. Presents are wrapped, bags are packed. Thank you note for an early present is in the mail, cookies have been distributed, the house is organized and decorated and clean. Meals are planned, clothes are planned. The Christmas parties with our friends and at work are over. I feel like it should be Christmas now, and I'm completely uninterested in going to work for the next two days - I just want to drive to my parents' and trade cookies with my mom and listen to my dad's Christmas cds and see my brother. The next two days just seem superfluous. Can we just skip them, please?

Envy. I'm trying to pack right now, and sad that I haven't even started thinking about holiday cards/correspondence. I think it's going to be e-mailed this year, but Scott may help. We'll see.
