Dear story,

I've got the first 3000 words of you finished. I know what the climax is. I know what the ending is. I just can't seem to fit all your pieces together. Also, I have a marriage proposal that somehow worked its way in, and I can't find a purpose for. If you please, while I sleep, can you stitch yourself together? And do something about that little hanging thread? That would be great, thanks.

Dear homebaked bread,

Just when I thought you couldn't be more delicious, what with the goat cheese-carmelized apples-bacon sandwich on Saturday, you were, with the goat cheese-roasted veggies-balsamic vinegar sandwich today. You rock, bread.

Dear weekend,

Thank you for not making me go places, be social, or even change out of my pajamas all weekend. Not that I don't enjoy traveling and seeing people and all, it was just nice not to have to do anything this weekend. Comics and movies and working on a story I'd abandoned two years ago. Yay!

Homemade bread continues to be lovely this morning, with goat cheese and raspberry jam. This was one of my best breads in a while.
