Book Review #75: City Kid New York
Title: City Kid New York: The Ultimate Guide for NYC Parents with kids ages 4-12
Author: Alison Lowenstein
Genre: Parenting
Thingummies: 3.5
Synopsis: A collection of cool things to do with kids in New York, from museums to classes to birthday parties.
Thoughts: There are a lot of awesome and ridiculously expensive options for kids' birthday parties in New York.
This book is already a little dated and will be more so by the time my son is 4. (At least one of the kid friendly restaurants listed I know for a fact closed six months ago.) But it's a pretty good starting point for places to look for cool ideas of things to do and classes to take. Among other things, did you know that there are canoeing and camping programs in the city parks as part of the Urban Park Rangers program?
